I also noted the same behaviour going from OSG 1.0 to 1.1. The problem seems
to have been introduced in 1.1 as 1.0 works fine here.

The problem I saw happens on 3DS as well as on FLT files. Thus, I don't
think it is related to a particular file but rather the higher level layer
of the 3d file loader routines. I have also noticed that when the
application starts loading the file, it enters what looks to be an endless
loop condition and allocating an endless number of memory chucks. The memory
manager on my windows platform goes up and keeps doing so until I kill the
VRJ thread from the process manager. I haven't got the time to trace down
the problem in the code yet.

Hope this helps a bit.

I don't think this was a problem in the 1.0 release because I've been using
it for quite a while. But when I recently downloaded the 1.1 release, I did
see the same problem you are describing. I tried some of the same things
you tried with the same results (although I never did get the viewer to
actually come up).
