To summarize it … we are doing ok on OS X 10.4 (ppc & intel) … 10.3 should be fine with an updated gcc (4.0.2 from fink) … not sure why my machine chokes on building the framework there … still if we take the by Eric provided framework to 10.3 we are good to go to compile our apps on 10.3 (with gcc4) …

 

So I’m not sure whether tweaking the #ifdefs is really an issue …
