How do users feel about the current form of OSG? Would there be interest in an OpenGL ES-based OSG, call it OSG ES? This would be a dramatic departure from the current architecture, but a smaller OSG started from a new slate, compatible with both OpenGL and OpenGL ES, might be a good starting point for "OSG 2.0".
 
Assuming everything is open for discussion in this thread... What about changes to OSG's governance? I think what Robert and Don have done is an excellent story about a successful open source project. That being said, is it time for OSG to move to a more formal governing body? Something along the lines of the (defunct) OpenGL ARB? Companies with a vested interest in OSG would gather to develop and decide on new functionality? Membership fees would pay for new development?
 
I'm not necessarily promoting any of this, but I did want to see how others felt.
