My OSG program is a Windows MFC application and I don't see any messages
coming out from OSG, regardless of the debug level.

Is there a way to direct the OSG Notify Debug output to the MS VS 2005
immediate window?

Run your shader source thru GLSL Validate to confirm that it is valid
GLSL code.
