Hi J-S is correct if your using VC8 then you have to build OSG and all its dependencies in VC8
You cannot use VC7 or VC6 binaries in VC8 they're Not compatible for many reasons See previous posts from my self and other to the mailing list for more information Best Regards Gordon __________________________________________________________ Gordon Tomlinson Email : [EMAIL PROTECTED] YIM/AIM : Gordon3dBrit MSN IM : [EMAIL PROTECTED] Website : www.3dscenegraph.com __________________________________________________________ "Self defence is not a function of learning tricks but is a function of how quickly and intensely one can arouse one's instinct for survival" - Master Tambo Tetsura -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jean-Sebastien Guay Sent: Friday, October 13, 2006 7:59 PM To: osg users; Antoine Rennuit Subject: Re: [osg-users] ReadNode crashes Hello Antoine, > Hello, I am using the windows binaries bundle with VC++8, and as soon > as I call a readNodeFile I have a crash: the project compiles well and > links well, runs to the readNodeFile instruction then crashes or > returns in the readNodeFile. Anybody already had the same kind of problem? I had the same problem. I think the libraries from the binary pack just don't work if you link to a VC++8 project. In my case, the binaries from the pack (osgversion, osgviewer etc) worked fine but any project I compiled and linked to libraries from the binaries pack had that same problem. I solved this by downloading the source package and compiling everything. OSG itself might take a while to compile from source, but it's worth it (i.e. it works). Hope this helps, J-S -- ______________________________________________________ Jean-Sebastien Guay [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://whitestar02.webhop.org/ _______________________________________________ osg-users mailing list [email protected] http://openscenegraph.net/mailman/listinfo/osg-users http://www.openscenegraph.org/ _______________________________________________ osg-users mailing list [email protected] http://openscenegraph.net/mailman/listinfo/osg-users http://www.openscenegraph.org/
