i'm fine with mailing list but having also a forum sharing mail is good,
or at least having good searching tools on osg-user archives
Would be great to have osg-build mailing list.... so flames about
different build systems can be confined there.... waiting to subscribe

Well it would fit well into the context of the Highland Gathering :-)
Clan gatherings are a historic part of the Highlands of Scotland. One
of meals out we had in Aberfoyle was at the Forth Inn, which has a
large banquet hall - called the "Gathering Room", alas we didn't get
to eat in it. Perhaps next year.
