One other thing about the FC4 packages (to be added to the top
paragraph):
These packages do not contain the introspection elements, nor have they
been compiled with GLUT or GDAL or Demeter. They have been compiled to
use the Inventor plugin through SGI's Inventor library. The Inventor
library can be obtained through the standard FC4 package repository.
