That's exactly the point. Why should people take the current state of
Producer for a try as long as you require an external dependency just
for the build of a single piece of software ? This move is completely
superfluous - and I definitely call this state as an "issue" with
Producer that I have the impression you didn't realize.

If you really want to do some exercise for your own pleasure, then why
don't you save the users from the trouble you currently pose on them
and simply merge this "DWMake" stuff into Producer in a way, that users
can get back to building Producer by typing 'make' ?

As I already reported, this simply does not work with the current build
system in Producer:

sirius: 22:42:40 /usr/local/src/Producer> make
Make/local_makedefs:3: DWMake/makedefs: No such file or directory
GNUmakefile:6: DWMake/makedirrules: No such file or directory


People on this list have reported this issue several times now,
