Hi Brian,

osgViewer is currently under pretty heavy development under Linux, but
I'll need to rely on others to help push forward the build under
Windows and OSX. I expect most of the other unices will probably just
compile osgViewer with little if any changes as its just C++/X11.

What problems were you encountering with osgVIewer/X11 ? Was it a
build problem? What were the errors?

We could change the osgViewer makefile to build
GraphicsWindowWin32.cpp just directive in the GNUmakefile.
GraphicsWindowWin32.cpp is still a non op though so it won't do
anything more than report that it hasn't been implemented yet.

Congrats on the linux machine. I run a copy of Linux in VMware on a WinXp and
a Win2k machine and currently I think game devices are sort of slim on VMWare
so I stick to Windows and then I like Cygwin just for using Unix type commands
on Windows,

I think so to and I plan to stick with - I have made some headway but my C++ is
pretty slim but I am learning a lot at least till I get totally stumped or
something else gets in the way.

Right now I would really like to find the hang in Cygwin when some of the
programs are supposed to be finishing. My gut tells a lock or a mutex is
holding some process active but take me time to figure ways to debug. Once I
figure that out then I'll work on some config changes for Make so it can build
in Cygwin without X like I have it now and then see if it can do X and use the
GraphicsWindowsX11 and the X libs like Linux does.

Keep you all posted and any suggestions and techniques or explanation greatly
appreciated.
