One thing that improved a lot my database paging was to convert all loaded models textures from jpeg to dds. I found that calling the jpeg plug-in makes big performance drops for the database pager. Another advice is be to upgrade to a latest version of OSG. :)

Hello osg-pagers, I have a paged database that I'm trying to improve performance with. OS: Windows XP CPU: dual-core Pentium D Video: GeForce 7800 GTX OSG: 1.0 The biggest problem I'm seeing is mult-frame hitching. I haven't narrowed down the source of the problem. Anybody have any ideas? I'm interested to know in others experiences with paging, and how to optimize it. Do you think setting the pager to one CPU, and the viewer to the other CPU would help? Currently, I do nothing with affinity. Thanks a lot!
