RSI (repetitive strain injury) in my wrist and forearms flared up last
month, working substantially less hours and doing varied exercise has
stabilised the condition and I'm now improving slowly.

All the best wishes! Being a piano-player I know about those kind of things. It´s good you´re doing exercises rather than just a splint or a bandage, which would make the problems go a way temporarily but weaken your wrists so they would come again.
