This must be the window manager ignoring the request for no window decoration. As far as I'm aware things are done in pretty standard X11 ways that work on the vast majority of platforms. Which version of the OSG are you using?
Looks like I had to modify the xorg.conf file to get cloning views to work instead of saving the settings for the user.
What do you mean by cloning in this context? What is your hardware setup, multiple graphics cards, multiple screens?
