Quad Software announces the availability of its level
and landscape editor, Grome, which integrates
out-of-the-box with OSG rendering engine.

Grome is a versatile editor geared towards
professional games and 3D simulations developers.
Using a hybrid approach, the editor allows for fast
procedural landscape creation using fractal and
erosion algorithms
and also for complete control by using multiple layers
of heightmaps, selections and textures together with a
highly customizable brush system.

Its included SDK comes with OSG exporter with source
code demonstrating the full terrain rendering inside
OSG engine using multitexture and multipass
techniques.
