I used OSGcluster on several machines with osg0.9 in order to run a boat
simulation application. I rendered my scene on multiple screen( machines)
with different fov to make a panoramic render.

I need to make a simple cluster with OSG 2, osgcluster seems to me to be the
most simpleway.

 Hi all,
about osgcluster is there an explanation somewhere on how to use it ?
The main idea is to have a server a client I suppose... But why the client
is waiting for a model as a parameter ?
I've tried to quickly run the sample, but did not succeed...
Is it possible to run the client and the server on the same machine ?
I've tried:
osgcluster -s wheel.osg => give me a dark screen (but without the model,
it doesn't run)
and on an other console (but same machine)
osgcluster -m wheel.osg => show the wheel (but kill the client)

[I'm using openscenegraph 1.2.0-2+b1 form Debian package, but I tried 1.2on
Windows too]

I've read somewhere on the list that osg has been used in cave
environment...
Was it on the base of osgcluster ? Using complementary software like
diverse-vr.org ?
Hacking osgviewer (with a render to texture mapped onto a representation
of the environment) ?

I'll be glad to have more informations, if someone is using osg with more
than one machine...

Pierre.

Hi Ben,

osgcluster will work with 2.0, but only once we'll need to add CMake
support for its build first though... this was one item not ticked off
before 2.0 I'm afraid.

The code itself should be fine though.

Robert.
