Hi All, This week I began planning my trip to US at the beginning of August, one stop along the way was going to be Siggraph in San Diego. On review of my itinerary for the trip, it was pretty clear that it would be not fit with clearing my current work backlog.
I also have to admit to being pretty exhausted from the level of effort I've put in over the last 8 months - rather than take on more work like a ten day foreign trip I need to do the opposite - take things easy, recuperate. Alas I have too much work on to actually take a full holiday any time soon, but a long weekend or two is the best I'll be able to squeeze in this summer, but only if I don't venture to Siggraph this year.
From a personally level not going to Siggraph this year is sensible, I
am having lots of pangs of still wanting to be there to meet people, witness all the buzz around the new OpenGL versions, do the OpenSceneGraph BOF, also not going means I'll have to pass on more work on organising bits for the BOF. This means I need you guys to step up to breach one more. Mike Weiblen has already booked the room for noon Wed August 8 in the San Diego Convention Center. Projectors, screens, presenters etc will all be required. Can you help out?
