You also have to also distinguish between 32/64 system and application.
The page says that it will work ''for Windows XP through Windows 8 (both
32 and 64 bit)'' but the application itself is just 32bit. If you think
that it is too confusing, please propose better wording on grass-dev,
grass-user, grass-web mailing list or preferably fill the ticket with
proposed changes at http://trac.osgeo.org/grass/ as suggested.
