png. This happens both from the GUI and when applied programatically. Does
not happen e.g. for a pdf or jpeg, so seemingly a defect in a (lib)png
dependency. Using backend "Qt4Agg".
I've experienced the same problem on Windows but it's OK on Ubuntu &
fedora. A workaround is to produce Tiff.
