Since we are just one month away from FOSS4G 2025, I would prefer to
spend any (limited) time we have on preparing release items than adding
new features.
I agree it would be nice to have Parquet support (which is also missing
on Debian, Ubuntu, Mint etc). I see we have an open ticket about it
(https://trac.osgeo.org/osgeolive/ticket/2492).
Best,
Angelos

Regarding Openstreetmap derivitive Overture Maps and other users of
Parquet or "geoParquet" , #osgeolive is the only modern desktop linux
that has no support for GDAL Parquet reading.
The LiDAR stack has been similarly lacking for years, but this Parquet
situation is simply deficient.

Hi all,
It has been almost 3 months, no issues have been reported, so I would
like us to consider creating rc1 release for the iso.
Any objections?
Best,
Angelos
