Referring to the 230/63 KV substation of Naeen, Habibollah Bitaraf added that this post was initially executed by foreign companies before 1979 but it is easily set up by the local experts. He said that the power industry has considerably grown during the past two decades. “At present, a hundred percent of the required equipment is manufactured by the local forces and the whole design, installation operation, and exploitation in distribution and transmission of power are carried out inside the country. The only section in which Iran needs foreign assistance is the power plant section that needs a complicated technology. Iran plans to make a serious progress in this section next year – trying to improve its current 75 percent share of involvement in the industry. Bitaraf said that many indexes in power industry have grown nine-fold since 1979 despite the population has been twofold since the date. The distribution section of the power industry has been folded by 9.2 times which is considered a development index of the country. The power supply to the villages has grown too. The number of villages enjoying power has increased from 7,367 in 1979 to 48,603 now. -- You have to consider the possibility that God does not like you. -- Tyler Durden ------------------------ Yahoo!
