Iranian cleric's sermon addresses Blair: 'This is a barbarism that is inside you' An Islamist cleric in Iran said last week that British Primer Minister Tony Blair should learn a lesson from the deadly terrorist bombings. Ayatollah Mohammad Emami-Kashani, a member of the Expediency Council Second, said in a Friday prayer sermon delivered at Teheran University that while Iran condemned the bombings, they were justified because of U.S. and British opposition to Al Qaida and the U.S. military action in Iraq. "Your feet are still bogged down in the Iraqi quagmire and you cannot get out," he said. "All this should be a lesson to you. You would not hatch a third [plot to attack Iran], if you had some sense. Look! This is the situation [the outcome of your deeds]. You yourself created this situation and you yourself named it Islam. In reality, this is neither Islam, nor religion, faith, conscience and humanity. This is a barbarism that is inside you." -------------------------- Want to discuss this topic?
