U.N. Concern Over Ban on Its Copters in Eritrea By WARREN HOGE Published: October 6, 2005 Secretary General Kofi Annan and the Security Council urged Eritrea to "immediately reverse" its decision grounding United Nations helicopters in its airspace, saying the action threatened the safety of peacekeepers and risked reopening the two-year border war with Ethiopia that caused 100,000 deaths before ending in a peace agreement in 2000.
