Occupied Jerusalem: Israel launched a highly sophisticated spy satellite on
Monday that will enable it to track what is taking place in Iran.

Israel considers Iran its arch enemy and joined the United States in its
efforts to persuade the international community to press for sanctions
against Iran.

The Tecsar satellite developed by Israel Aerospace Industries operates with
an advanced radar system allows Israel to view more than earlier Ofek
satellites.

The satellite ranks among the world's most advanced space systems and will
work despite extreme weather conditions.

This advanced satellite is of paramount importance to Israel as it will be
able to determine if Iran is, in fact, producing nuclear weapons.

The satellite will be launched in two weeks, by which time it will be
possible to view pictures from the device.

Israel currently operates a number of reconnaissance satellites, including
Ofek 5 and Ofek 7.
