Croteau TELEGRAM & GAZETTE STAFF A Worcester-born college student now living in California is facing criminal charges in a Boston court today for holding up a Delta airlines flight for three hours after he stuck a sticker claiming "9/11 was an inside job" on the plane's bathroom sink, according to authorities. This occurred before takeoff. He later ran off the plane. David Procopio, a Massachusetts state police spokesman, said Jason T. Robo, 26, a student at Humboldt State University who lives in Eureka, Calif., got on Delta flight 115 in Boston yesterday. The flight was scheduled to leave around 5:14 p.m. from Logan International Airport and land later in Salt Lake City. Shortly before takeoff state police at the airport received a call from the flight crew. A passenger - later identified as Mr. Robo - was acting nervous, Mr. Procopio said. Mr. Robo allegedly went into one of the plane's bathrooms and came out. "A flight attendant entered the plane bathroom after him and found a homemade sticker," Mr. Procopio said. Hand-written in marker, the sticker read, "9/11 was an inside job! PrisonPlant.com." The Web site is for radio show Alex Jones. Members of the flight crew found another sticker on a folding tray near where Mr. Robo sat and allegedly heard him say, "I have to get off this plane right now." He did, and was found a short time later at the Delta baggage carousel. The passengers of the plane were taken off as state police dogs searched for explosives. The search came up empty. The passengers were put back on the plane and it took off about 8:30 p.m. Mr. Robo is facing charges in East Boston Municipal Court. He will be charged with disorderly conduct, interfering with aircraft operation and disorderly conduct on a public conveyance. _____ Copyright 2008 Worcester Telegram & Gazette Corp.
