Bartle Bull is one of the three who testified before the U. S. Commission on Civil Rights on 4/23/10. (For full title of the hearing, see Title Page below.) Bona fides, taken from that testimony: He is a Civil-Rights attorney, now retired from practice, who worked for the enforcement of the Negroes' civil rights in the South in 1966, and who also heavily involved in the Presidential campaigns of R. F. Kennedy, Carter, Ted Kennedy, and also in Ramsey Clark's Senate run. He states that he's "an old liberal" and a "John Kennedy Democrat." He was also worked with Democrats for McCain. He's now a full-time writer, and was at one time publisher of the Village Voice. One of the points Mr. Bull makes is that in the DoJ case, one of the defendants was the New Black Panther Party itself. From this he draws some unpleasant conclusions. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BemSmTNDxU U.S. COMMISSION ON CIVIL RIGHTS + + + + + HEARING ON THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE'S ACTIONS RELATED TO THE NEW BLACK PANTHER PARTY LITIGATION AND ITS ENFORCEMENT OF SECTION 11(b) OF THE VOTING RIGHTS ACT [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ -------------------------- Want to discuss this topic?
