I had lunch with a friend the other day who is part of a small consulting firm that is working on operating as a self-organizing business. (I believe one person in the organization has experience with open space.) While she indicated that it has opened up some new avenues in their practice as people follow their passions, she has noticed that the "connective tissue" that holds them together seems to be getting fainter. She was asking me if others experimenting with self-organizing work environments have experienced this.
So, the question that raised for me is what sustains the "connective tissue" in a self-organizing business community? Peg Holman
