For a good piece on what the edge of chaos means in organizations try the just published Surfing at the Edge of Chaos: The Laws and Nature of the new Business. Pascale, Millemann, Goija, 2000. Crown Business. It is a good read and articulates many Open Space/Interactive/Living Organization perspectives well. They go pretty far without knowing about Open Space.
