I've been splitting the difference: 75-minute periods.
In my observation, 60 minutes seemed a bit too short, and 90 minutes seemed
a bit too long. With 75 minutes, people might talk for an hour and then take
some time to wrap up.
Or not!

In a two day open space events, are 1.5 hour time-slots preferable to 1 hour slots?
