I found out that I don't like to be touched a lot because I am already feeling so much energy.> Thank you for sharing something so enlightening, and personal. And thank you for keeping us aware of our cultural assumptions. I have another colleague who also is not crazy about being touched, who feels herself to be a tuning fork, as it were, for energy. And as you know, Tree, I am a high-touch person. My family touches as a cultural expression, as nutrition, as affirmation. So that is my culture, as well. Having said that, I also work in prison, where we are not allowed to touch inmates, other than a hand shake. So I have learned how to give big and juicy 'air hugs'. So I owe you a big ol' juicy air hug when next we meet. And thank you for inspiring me: "Now I remember that I get to be me all the time, no matter what." My parents taught me that that one of our responsibilities for receiving this precious life we have been given is to always strive to be the truest 'you' you can be. You are doing a great job of that, Tree - from your roots to your leaves.
