Fr Brian and his committee made the inspired decision to stage the first WOS in Australia in the beautiful Marylands Hotel close to the town. For much joy was experienced both in the formally opened space and in the associated activities. Among these, as Larry has mentioned, were night walks in the surrounding forests to spot possums and other tree dwelling animals. My thoughts go to those who have suffered such terrible personal devastation and loss and to all the people of Australia. The memories of happy times and friendships renewed and forged among the OS community live on.
