Actually Ashley I think there are a number of things that pop up, at least for me. My list comprises Part II of my book Wave Rider entitled "The Wave rider's Guide to the Future." (page 144). I don't think you will find too many surprises. The elements are 1) Invitation 2) Come to a circle 3) Bring passion and responsibility 4) Remember the four principles 5) Observe the Law of two feet 6) Keep grief working. Oh yes - Wave Riding and (collaborative) leadership are the same in my mind - which is why I chose the title "Wave Rider: Leadership for High Performance in a self organizing world."
