Hi Spark, the project she mentioned as an example was a 70-meter traditional Polynesian voyaging canoe being built in Hawaii. The intent was to serve current and future generations and wider communities of human and nonhuman. They were not using OS but surely another fine approach to 'crossing the open space' : )
