It's where three Royal Mounted Police were killed last week with two others shot...by a lone gun man.
Today a friend wrote this on my Facebook. "Well Suzanne I'm thinking of you this morning as I watch the news, reporting events that have been taking place for our three fallen officers. Moncton feels like a big open space, with groups banning together and activities self organizing all over the place. From kids organizing bike rallies to take over their neighbourhood parks and subdivisions again, to vigils happening all over, Monctonians offering rooms in their homes to accommodate the 7000 RCMPs that will be attending the funeral this afternoon,( fifteen hundred people offering their homes in one morning), patrons coming out of bars Saturday night lining up to thank the police officers who were working the streets, people deciding to leave their porch lights on to honour the officers, candle light vigils all over. Space opening up all over Moncton, groups getting together to show acts of kindness and solidarity. A whole community opening up space, unscripted, unplanned, spontaneous. Had to share with you." The link to the Live Stream Memorial Service today shows the thousands of officers from across the country who came to support their fallen comrades. http://www.ctvnews.ca/video?playlistId=1.1861014 Suzanne -- Suzanne Daigle Open Space Facilitator NuFocus Strategic Group FL 941-359-8877941-359-8877 Cell: 203-722-2009203-722-2009 www.nufocusgroup.com [email protected] twitter @Daiglesuz Call Send SMS Add to Skype You'll need Skype CreditFree via Skype
