Dan, I’d say for any kind of facilitated event, Open Space or otherwise - when 
someone asks for an event with a very short lead-up - it’s very healthy to ask 
why, why now, what’s the crisis, what is served by taking important time for 
thorough invitation and thoughtful pre-work, is your zooming in to make a 
quick-turnaround thing happen supporting wellness or crisis response, if it is 
a crisis, doesn’t it deserve better (all kinds of things including thought, 
invitation, resource assessment, whatever) - all those good questions. The ‘how 
to get the message out’ part is perhaps the easiest - the ‘why’ / ‘to what end’ 
/ ‘does this serve’ is to me one of the essential conversations of pre-work and 
thinking about doing an event …
