I'm planning to follow some ~1000km GPX tracks in August. Does anyone have
experience using OsmAnd for tracks of that length? Are there known issues
like consuming more battery or being slow etc?

Also, are there any OsmAnd tricks for conserving battery power? Obviously I
can turn off the screen and turn down its brightness when on (as well as
turning off wifi, bluetooth, etc). Would disabling OsmAnd voice prompts be
much of a saving? I'm planning to just display the GPX track on the map,
and not use turn-by-turn guidance. I really like OsmAnd, but it feels like
it consumes a lot of battery (maybe that's just my imagination, though). I
have a dynamo and will also have an external battery, but would like to
minimize what OsmAnd uses.

Thanks!

Terry
