Glad to see that others share the idea ! For me the biggest drawback of a legend-based items description is that OsmAnd has such a big range of detail for different roads, terrains, buildings, POIs, and so on that it is virtually impossible to memorize the meaning of their corresponding color/thickness/sign/number.
Hence why having access to this information by simply touching the map would be very helpful, i.e I am cycle touring in Tasmania and hope to take only mild dirt roads to get to my next town. OsmAnd can help me with that but because there are so many different "lines" on the map I first have to go back-and-forth between the map and the legend to make sure I know which are the mild dirt roads. Sometimes it's easy to mix up and I could end up on, say, a rough 4x4 track.
