Hi Ralph Note, in OsmAnd the setting is carried out in a section entitled; "Turn screen on (if off) when approaching a turn". ie if the screen is already OFF, the feature will turn it ON for the selected time, then turn it OFF, not the other way around. Don't confuse this with your mobile device's own "Settings" where the option is probably to "Turn screen OFF after [selected time].
So, try this:- a) In Menu, Settings, Navigation settings. "Turn screen on (if off)", Set an interval of 5 seconds (to make testing less protracted). b) Go back to the map screen and start navigating a route, then touch your screen-off button (to turn the screen off). c) At the next turn, does the screen come on? d) Does it remain illuminated, for the required time, then go off? e) Adjust, as in (a) to an alternative duration of required.
