Its been a while since I have used Osmand, and several changes have occurred. Some things are better, but it seems like the UI is more complicated. Case in point - this seemingly inability to turn off Auto Centering. I have looked in all the settings and it just not obvious, or it can not be done. If the later is the case, this is inexcusable. It make it almost impossible to set up a route far away from one's current location.
There needs to be a button on the main screen to toggle Auto-Centering off, and back on. Or better yet, have no auto-centering! But have a "center" button on the main screen, like Google Maps! Then if I wish to go somewhere in the world on the map, I can work at that new location for as long as I want. When I am done and want to return to my location,I can press the "Center" button. I would much rather have full control then someone (designer) trying to figure out how to auto control what I am doing. Grrr. Have I missed something?
