It's not about programming. GPSBabel is an application you just run. I linked to the command line version, but there is a graphical version too. (I don't use the latter, so I can't say much about it.)
GPX files are pretty simple in structure, so it would probably not be very hard to merge them with a plain text editor. Otherwise, if it is just a one-time thing, feel free to send the files over and I'll run it for you if you would like.
