Thank you very much for your quick and detailed response. Yes, exporting markers before OsmAnd quits working is the right way to do, and had I known that it would not allow me to restart it, I had saved the markers just before the incident. Maybe it would be a good suggestion to save map markers automatically (similar to the saving of the favourites), such that they are accessible even if OsmAnd refuses to get started.
