Speaking just for myself, I think a good procedure is....
1/ Check at GitHub, if a similar request is already open.
2/ if yes, add there eventually your comments.
3/ if not, discuss it first here,
if the community thinks
it could be a useful idea,
not too difficult to implement
and interesting for more than just few users.
4/ If it passes, register a new FR at GitHub .
5/ If it does not, it would very probably would pass at developers either.
