I often use Osmand to follow gpx tracks. If I go off-route I think there is a single voice message along the lines of "You have been off the route for 50 metres". After that, the only indication is the on-screen position (which I might not look at for a while). Another voice prompt can interrupt the off-route notification in which case I might not get the chance to hear it at all.
It would be helpful to have a more persistent message. Even a single repeat at 100m would be an improvement. Better would be a regular repeat unless cancelled by, say, switching the screen on, with a reset when I rejoin the route.
