Couldn't agree more. Osmand used to have an off route alarm but that was discontinued for some unknown reason. As a cycle tourist I use voice instructions and missing a turn is a right pain. Furthermore "You have been off the route for 50 metres" does not always activate. When it does it can easily be missed by traffic and wind noise.
I have brought up this subject before both on this forum and Github with little interest being shown. I find this odd. One would have thought that an off route alarm is an essential / indispensable part of navigation. What is needed is a very loud alarm type sound ( that is unmissable ) so one can at least stop and rectify the situation. Other apps have this feature. All very frustrating.
