I agree with Poutnik, it could be a problem in your device.

You can try installing some GPS-aid app, i.e "GPS status & toolbox", to check 
if location services are working well.
Additionally, if you are in a mobile-covered area, the above app will improve 
your fix speed by forcing download of AGPS data from the network (do it once, 
lasts several days) or some diagnostic, like "Sensor sense", which can check if 
the GPS receiver works properly.

As a last resource, you can decide to rely on an external GPS receiver, i.e. 
Garmin GLO or similar. Even though this solution will cost a little, the 
external hardware is usually faster and more precise than the integrated one, 
so it may be worth the cost.
