Version 3.6.2 If I copy your .xml files in the ditectory I can see them from Osmand menu but if there is no xml file in the directory and I do all yours instructions to create a new one the new xml file is not present in the directory.

You are now still in your freshly created profile. - Got to navigation settings (2nd option) - Select Navigation type (1op one) - Now scroll down and select the mycar15 navigation type - Go back until your are out of the profile and you can now use it. - Adapt it further to your liking. I have done this now at least 25 times with all intermediate test builds and I never had a problem.And what is your OsmAnd version?
