Thanks.  For GPX routes created on OsmAnd, maybe there's no longer a need 
to calculate a route between points as the new version seems to do a nice 
job of doing regular turn-by-turn navigation, including street names.  (See 
toward the bottom of https://osmand.net/blog/osmand-3-7-released). But 
calculating the route for first and last points would still seem useful, no 
matter how the GPX was created.
