I can't comment on "bulk copy in", but to add a "one-off" favorite manually, slide/zoom the map around until you can see the spot where you want to add the favorite.
Then long-press the map at the spot where you want the favorite to exist, which will drop a "pin" on the map at that spot, and open a small menu at the bottom of the screen.
On the left side of the small menu is "star/Add" (star being a star icon). Press that button and you will add a favorite.
