Buffer underruns with rtlfm

I started experiencing buffer underruns (1/sec) when piping rtl_fm to 
aplay after a recent upgrade.   Hardware is Raspberry Pi, which has 
worked fine for the past year or so with the same parameters. I think 
the problem lies on the ALSA side, but just wonder if anyone has run 
into underrun problems recently?   Suggestions appreciated as well.

Thanks for the ongoing improvements to rtl-sdr!
