If you deactivate the url shortener, you do not get any URL. Just
generate a shortened link and load it. You'll see the full URL in the
url bar.

In general this is possible with the ly= (layer) parameter. We
currently only use the internal id of the layer. To get this id,
the easiest way is to generate a route, generate a route link, open
it and look for the value of the ly= parameter.
is that going to vary with each session?
richard
It should better not as we use it as part of our links.
ok, i've edited the OSRM.config.js file in my local copy
of the repo and change the url_shortener to '' to turn
it off; but i am consistently getting [not available] when
i click on the button to generate a link. what do i need to
do here?
thanks,
richard
