I found this to be a good starting point for exploring the properties of
digital filters:

I know that doesn't exactly answer your original question, but it should
provide insight.
This is also a good one:http://musicdsp.org/archive.php?classid=3#197

Subject: [oss-devel] Low-pass filter

Hello,

I'm experimenting with DSP. I read a bit about High/Low pass filters, and saw
an algorithm in Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-pass_ ...
ementation).
I tried to implement it in C++, but what are the time interval (dt) and
time constant (RC) in this algorithm? Which values should I put in
them?

Ori.
