Yes, the blue controls seem to work for the blue jack - both the blue
mute and pcm1 mute mutes the output.

I have

Front: green, pink (the green works, pink untested).
Back: blue, green, pink


I have installed Windows on the same board in the past and did not
notice any issue but I am not sure the rear connectors were even used.

Yes, there is a bios update which does not specify much detail, as usual.

Applying it might be a bit challenging without running Windows but
there seems to be some BIOS support for loading updates without an OS
running.
